簡介:深水腐蝕服務公司最近宣布,用于海底管線的綜合陰極保護系統(tǒng)獲得升級換代。新型智能墊不僅保留了原來PC墊的優(yōu)點,還具有應用更廣泛更靈活的新特性。
Deepwater Corrosion Services recently announced an upgrade to its integrated cathodic protection system for subsea pipelines. The company’s new Smart Mat will retain all of the attributes of the proven CP Mat range of products, but will provide a greater range of installation flexibility for more applications.
The company’s CP Mat system combined the technology of a segmented concrete stabilization mattress with an integrated cathodic protection system for pipeline crossing and sheet pile bulkheads. A CP Mat reportedly provides the required stabilization and added benefit of up to 30 years of cathodic protection for up to 2 miles of pipeline in each direction.
CP Mats consist of poured concrete mattresses within shells that are wired for cathodic protection. These mattresses come with patented nonshielding soft pads on the underside and can be loaded with aluminum or zinc anodes, making them suitable for water chemistries ranging from river water to seawater.
Deepwater states that mat systems using these shells have been used extensively in the Pacific Rim area for pipeline stabilization and mechanical impact protection since 1993, when they were introduced. Upon recognizing the significant improvements possible with the shells, the company immediately began to upgrade the CP Mat, completing the R&D effort in Q2 2009.
The new Smart Mat systems retain all the benefits of the CP Mat technology, but with several added benefits?most notably, the ability to be assembled on site. Rather than shipping a pre-poured concrete mattress, a complete mat’s worth of shells is shipped to the site. These shells conveniently clip together and allow local crews to pour the concrete on-site. A basic set of instructions will assist the assembly crew to incorporate the integral anode system and pour the concrete to complete the fabrication.
Other key improvements afforded by the Smart Mat system include:
- The shells can be poured anywhere, on any relatively flat surface
- The increased mat bulk and anode sizes provide for a more rugged system than the previous CP Mat
- If necessary, anodes can be serially exposed to provide up to a 50-year design life
- Mat size can be configured to suit available lift capacity and current / life requirements
- The system can include integrated condition monitoring for the pipeline that will be suited to interrogation via remotely operated vehicles, when coupled with Deepwater’s SunStation and Polatrak technologies
- The mat system has been adapted into a wider range of impressed current cathodic protection applications, such as for retrofits for floating production, storage, and offloading vessels
- The mat also acts as a gravity base / mud mat on Deepwater’s RetroPod retrofit system, and provides cathodic protection and stability to seabed subsea test stations
